I found a crazy article which was written way back in 1893. In it, the author made some ‘out-there’ predictions of how Fashion might change over a 100 years. Asking the question ‘how has fashion changed over time’ .. in effect he made a light hearted attempt to predict the fashion of the future.
The article was lavishly illustrated throughout (by the author), showing some, shall we say ‘adventurous’ suggestions of how the futuristic fashion might evolve over the then coming decades.
Now some designs might look strange from today’s view point. But saying that, have you ever seen the fashion shows that are presented nowadays? Here’s a 2017 photo that’s not too dissimilar from some of the proposed designs in that 1893 article.

No Stranger Fashion
So it would seem that the fashion world is indeed, no stranger to this colorful and potentially wacky style. Futuristic fashion appears indeed, to be forever known as an unknown entity.
